35 years at The Workshop

For well over three decades The Workshop has played a major role in discovering and nurturing emerging talent in Wales and beyond. Catrin Stewart

Probably best known for the lead role of Emma in Ruth Jones’ Sky 1 comedy series ‘Stella’, Catrin is also remembered for her portrayal of Jenny Flint, a recurring role in ‘Dr Who’. The Observer described her performance as Juliet in Headlong Theatre’s production of Shakespeare’s play as ‘one of the most captivating and touching I have seen’.

Lloyd Everitt

The youngest actor to play Othello at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Lloyd began his career at London’s Donmar Warehouse working with Michael Grandage. He has since branched out into film and television and is currently appearing as paramedic Jez Andrews in BBC’s ‘Casualty’.

Craig Roberts

Following a successful start to his career in CBBC’s popular drama series ‘The Story of Tracy Beaker’ and then ‘Young Dracula’, Craig transferred his attention to film, appearing in the lead role of Oliver Tate in Richard Ayoade’s directorial debut, ‘Submarine’. He is also known for ’22 Jump Street‘ and ‘Neighbors’, and also took the lead with Winona Ryder in a music video directed by Tim Burton for famous Las Vegas band, The Killers. 

Hannah Daniel

Known for the role of DS Sian Owens in Fiction Factory’s groundbreaking detective drama, ‘Hinterland’, shot back to back in English and Welsh. Hannah has just finished writing her first film screenplay – also in English and Welsh.

Mali Harries

BAFTA Cymru award winning actress Mali has been working in the industry since 1999, appearing in well-established TV series such as ‘Dr Who‘, ‘Lewis’, ‘Foyle’s War,’ Midsomer Murders, ‘Holby City’, ‘The Bill’ and ‘Doctors’. Since 2013, she has starred as DI Mared Rhys in Fiction Factory’s ‘Hinterland’, the first bi-lingual Welsh-English series to air on BBC.

Gerran Howell

Award winning CBBC drama ‘Young Dracula’ features ‘Gerran Howell in the lead role of Vlad, starring alongside Craig Roberts. He can also be seen as series regular, Jack in the drama ‘Emerald City’.

Adrian Lewis Morgan

Best known for playing Dr Jimmi Clay in the BBC1 daytime Soap, ‘Doctors’, Adrian is a founder member of The Workshop. His theatre debut was in ‘Sweeney Todd’ at the Royal National Theatre. This was followed by starring roles in West End Theatre productions including ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and ‘Rent’.

Hywel Morgan

Another Workshop founder member, Hywel is known for ‘Page Eight’, ‘W.E.’ and ‘Making a Killing’. His Royal Shakespeare Company credits include ‘The Alchemist’, ‘Queen Anne’ and ‘Love for Love’.

Ciaran began his screen career playing Lol in the popular CBBC series ‘The Story of Tracy Beaker’. Since then, he has gone on to appear in ‘Torchwood’ and ‘Holby City’. He recently completed a US tour of ‘Peter Pan’ playing Peter Pan.
