Training performance skills for drama

Our training is designed to encourage the performance skills required for work in film and television. We concentrate on developing each student's acting technique, specifically for dramas.

At the same time, many of the skills learnt can be applied to other areas of media work, such as presentation and interview technique.

The starting step for you as an actor

After completing our introductory course, some students will be invited to join The Workshop and continue with their training. All the courses take place at The Workshop's studio space in the centre of Cardiff.

On joining The Workshop, members receive weekly training sessions in a variety of performance skills to prepare them for film and television work.

The Workshop has approximately one hundred and fifty members. Our students come from mixed backgrounds and provide a culturally diverse pool for casting directors and production companies.
